New Monastic Building
KTC Minneapolis has outgrown our current building, both in function and in footprint. We need to be able to support resident practitioners, staff, and retreatants. If you would like to donate a building, or know someone who would be willing to donate a building within 2-3 miles of 4301 Morningside Road in Edina, please contact us. We need a move-in ready building with 5-6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a great room, bonus room, full basement, large kitchen, and a separate dining room, and living room.
In addition to the physical building, we would like an endowment to be established that supports the cost of our building's utilities, including changes to move it off the grid; and supports the cost of meditation retreat sabbaticals for Buddhists and non Buddhists alike.
Website Design
Any volunteer help to maintain and grow the KTC website is sought. Our needs match to various levels of computer experience from word processing skills to advanced graphics. The idea list is long and the resource list is short.
Sources for Salvaged / Reclaimed Materials
We are trying to reuse salvaged or reclaimed materials whenever we can find them. Right now we need wood for fencing and a deck, and old garden hoses to mark walking paths. If you know of a place(s) where reclaimed materials are available, or if you have materials to donate, please contact us. We will keep a list of these places and publish it on our blog.
Gardeners and Handypeople
Come and spend some healing, energizing time volunteering in the gardens or helping out with small projects. All skill levels are appreciated.
